Noble chafer project

We are working with Gloucester Wildlife Trust to recruit a PhD student to study the Noble Chafer. Noble chafers are restricted to orchards in England and a species of concern as orchard habitat dwindles. Very little is known of the genetics of the Noble chafer, so to understand the diversity of the species and how best to conserve it we must first retrieve the genome of the species.
